In response to requests from Greater Montreal’s business community, LAVAL TECHNOPOLE International Business Centre has created the Laval International Network. Consisting of 10 Laval entrepreneurs, the International Network will offer local businesses an opportunity to network and share their experiences in foreign markets. Five thematic conference luncheons are planned this year, allowing participants to meet and speak with foreign trade experts. Participants will also have access to a virtual private network similar to LinkedIn, where they will be able to connect with peers and experts through a forum and a blog.
Laval International Network is the first step of a broader project that calls for setting up a one-of-a-kind virtual reference centre later this year to promote exchanges between exporters. The virtual reference centre will provide Laval exporters with access to the International Business Centre’s network of international contacts, to the Sourcing Club, and to a broad range of relevant information.
